killers - day nine
![]() This isn't quite usual, but it's the middle of the afternoon when you suddenly find yourself really wanting to check out the treehouse. You just know that you need to go there. Well, no one seems to be milling around, so it will be safe to head that direction. When you reach the foot of the treehouse, a ladder has been dropped for you. Climb up and come inside. The interior of the treehouse has been made comfortable for you. There's an old map of the park on the wall, as well as the mounted and stuffed heads of cartoon animal costumes on the wall. The decor seems like something of a parody of an upscale hunting lodge, and you're welcome to sit by the fire and enjoy snacks from back home, or relax in one of the outdoor hammocks. In the center of the room are several crates filled with weapons. Blades, guns, anything you can feasibly carry and use to kill. rulebook profiles |
ANNOUNCEMENT
"Hey, guys!
Now, listen. The detonators stopped working, but I got all of this stuff for you. Because you did such a great job last night, Ciel, I was able to make this happen. Take these things and use them to wake up as many people as you can. It will probably be easiest if you get them in the trial room first, but it's up to you.
You only have until the fireworks, okay? After that, anyone who is still asleep...well, it won't be good!"

I know— I know who you are. You couldn't possibly be anyone else, you beast. I bet you've been laughing there the whole time, but this is enough. This is an order to stop this charade immediately.
[ Is he speaking to Crocs like he thinks it's Sebastian... Yes, yes he is. When the ooc jokes become reality... ]

[She's not really sure what's going on here. Who is Crocs if he's not Crocs? Though hey, if Ciel knows him and can order him around, she's not going to get in the way. She'll stay close to Ciel, though. Like that's metaphorically she means she's not getting in the way, he's stuck with her otherwise.]

Mabel, do you understand what you need to do? I think Ciel seems really exhausted. Last night might have been too much for him, so you need to pull your weight, too."

[ He looks furious, which is all the more intimidating with that odd eye of his, but... If Crocs doesn't respond to his order, it can't be. He knows that. He sets a hand on Mabel's shoulder protectively, because at the very least, all of that had been to prevent exactly what Crocs is trying to do here. ]
How did you know about that room? Why— [ Ergh. He feels sick again as he remembers it, so Mabel will feel his hand tremble, but he keeps it out of his voice. ]
What are you really trying to do here? If you're trying to summon a demon, I could have told you that it wouldn't work at all. That demon is already mine. He won't come to your call.

You must be exhausted and getting mixed up."

[ He looks down mournfully, then raises a hand to his head, because there's that feeling again. There's something slipping away from him, but he wants to grasp onto it more this time. He can't forget. He can't get things mixed up, because when he does, then—
Then...?
Ciel makes a frustrated noise and shakes his head. ]
I'm not getting things mixed up. [ He says that resolutely. ] There's no way we can really get everyone today, though. They all know by now.

[ He shakes his head ]
Waking up eight people, even with all those prizes, that won't be easy.

Both of you are brave and smart kids. You can do it!"

[ He puts his other hand over his face, because he hates this feeling. He can't just let these thoughts slip away! Earlier today, there were too many, and now, he can't grasp onto a single thing. On the operating table last night, Oz had said things that were just because he didn't know any better, but...
Was it even a table? He hadn't been mopping the floor. It was that day brought back to life, and he had been the one to create it. Ciel is getting visibly upset, because he's fighting this feeling, but still, no matter how he tries to grasp onto those feeble threads of thought, he can't manage it. ]
Why does it have to be us? Why not someone else? Why don't they get it, so this doesn't feel like murder?
no subject
Yeah...why can't they remember? We can! What's so special about us...?
