![]() There's no way to mark the passage of time after lights out, but it isn't long before the lightbulb in your bedroom flickers back to life. In Sheba's room, the panel with the cartoon animal painted on your wall slides up to reveal a hidden screen behind it; it has the look of the like a slot machine. In Kenny's room, the door unlocks and a path leading to Sheba's quarters lights up with a dim glow. Any attempts to veer off this path or approach any other room will cause his bracelet to start beeping rapidly. For tonight, Sheba's door will unlock to Kenny and Kenny only. You'll have to make an important decision tonight, and quickly; you only have an hour to decide before the power abruptly goes off again. rulebook profiles |

...and how does protecting someone work? We just pick someone, and they're safe? How can we be sure that they won't get hurt?
no subject
If you pick someone, that person will be safe. We won't allow someone to kill them. It's up to you!

I got a question. I can't die. How do you expect me to play? And if she's my buddy, does my immortality extend to her?

[She doesn't sound like she really expects an answer, though. So even though she looks mad, she tries to soften her expression as she turns to Kenny. He's smaller than she is, she shouldn't be glaring at him.]
So... what do you think we should do? That woman earlier... Miko is her name, I think. The one who volunteered to be our leader. She's made herself a pretty obvious target. But then, if the VIPs know she's an obvious target, they might think we'll choose to protect her and end up targeting someone else.
no subject
It's almost too obvious. But anything else is a shot in the dark.

[No, actually, she wishes she could still read minds so they would know who the VIPs are. But that would definitely defeat the purpose of the game.]
It could be Miko, or it could be that guy in that weird suit... [She scrolls through the profiles on her bracelet.] K. He had a lot of good points, too, when everyone was talking. A couple of the others also sounded like they know what they're doing... Any of them could have become targets.

It's slim chances no matter what.
no subject
Ugh, I don't like it. A one in 40 chance of getting it right... Those are terrible odds.

[Because if he's shorter than her he must be pretty young...]

Ten.
[ But his voice makes it clear that he's Seen Some Shit, and he leaves it at that. ]

...or we can just look out for each other.
