night role - medical team

dreamland medical team

There's no way to mark the passage of time after lights out, but it isn't long before the lightbulb in your bedroom flickers back to life. In Sheba's room, the panel with the cartoon animal painted on your wall slides up to reveal a hidden screen behind it; it has the look of the like a slot machine. In Kenny's room, the door unlocks and a path leading to Sheba's quarters lights up with a dim glow. Any attempts to veer off this path or approach any other room will cause his bracelet to start beeping rapidly. For tonight, Sheba's door will unlock to Kenny and Kenny only.

You'll have to make an important decision tonight, and quickly; you only have an hour to decide before the power abruptly goes off again.

I feel like Aya is a likely target- if she's innocent. So I don't know about protecting her...

If Levi is telling the truth, he's an even bigger target.

...hm. Are they more likely to go after the detective, or the person publishing their words...

She'll publish anything, though, so they can use her if they keep her alive...

[ He pauses, thinking. ] Here's what I think. You're free to disagree.

I think Levi's bought his own protection. The VIPs are going to assume that we're going to shield him. It's just logical, right? So they'll go for someone else.

I say we go for someone else, too. Let the VIPs assume that we're protecting Levi, but protect someone else instead. Up our chances of getting it right.

[She is quiet for a few moments as she thinks it over.]

If I were a VIP, though... I'm not sure if I would go for a target that isn't so obvious twice in a row. They taught us the first night that shielding the "obvious" target won't always work. What if they were hoping to use Malik's death as a way of drawing us away from shielding the obvious target, so that when a good opportunity presents itself they can just kill the person they want dead without any interference?

...that's what I would have done if I were a VIP. I'd try and trick us. So I don't know if that's really what they're doing, or if I'm just overthinking it because I would try and do it if our roles were reversed.

...maybe you're right. Shit, I don't know. I think it's to their advantage to play it safe and go random, but on the chance they really do go for him and we haven't protected him... It'd be our fault.

...if we pick someone at random, we have a one in... 39 chance of getting it right. But if they're going to want anyone dead at this point, it's probably Aya or Levi.

[Placeholder vote! If Kenny votes before I get back please count his as first instead of this; I just want the medical team to have voted and I'll be gone from now until when voting closes! If Kenny would rather protect someone else go ahead, I just don't know who since we never hashed it out!]
