There's no way to mark the passage of time after lights out, but it isn't long before the lightbulb in your bedroom flickers back to life, and your door unlocks. Make your way into the park; the door will unlock for you, and the path you need to take lights up with a dim red glow. When you reach the foot of the treehouse, a ladder has been dropped for you. Climb up and come inside. The interior of the treehouse has been made comfortable for you. There's an old map of the park on the wall, as well as the mounted and stuffed heads of cartoon animal costumes on the wall. The decor seems like something of a parody of an upscale hunting lodge, and you're welcome to sit by the fire and enjoy snacks from back home, or relax in one of the outdoor hammocks. Enjoy yourself as you decide who to kill. If it wouldn't put Mabel-chan in danger, anyway!! Since we might lose Edea-chan, it'd be best if we could arm her to take out one of our worse enemies beforehand! ...And then it would be fine if she never gave out keys again, Ibuki guesses?

[ Ciel speaks up with a serious expression, since now he's getting to scheming. ]

If she thought she was giving it to someone safe, would she consider it? Because if you're a detonator... That could give us a way to take out the dog. Edea is one potential, that's true, but if this gambit worked, there's another possibility that could work. If you could convince Nanami to give it to the person we planned to kill, then we could steal it from them an detonate it later. Though Edea would work as well, admittedly, since if her status is known... She will not last long, to be frank.

Well...she doesn't think we can trust anyone. She's worried we'll give it to one of you guys or to someone who'll use it on a whim or to someone who's just crazy and will use it just because. She wouldn't even give it to my brother when I mentioned he'd try and protect us no matter what. She just told me he'd turn on me if he had to.

So I'd have to have really good proof that we could trust whoever I was suggesting.

[ Ciel clicks his tongue, since he agrees, actually, but that's disappointing. He was hoping for someone more gullible. ]

I don't disagree with her, unfortunately. But I hate leaving that dog around. It's an irritation in the first place, but with the role it has, it'll be trusted immediately.

She said she wanted to protect the two of us first and foremost. Maybe that would help somehow? Sorry I can't be of much help really...

Your partner is essentially sided with us now, in a sense. If the guests win, she will die since the condition is to remove us all. The only way she can survive is if we win.

We may be able to openly speak of this and tell her straight out that it's in her best interest to aid us.

...I'd be worried to, because she really doesn't seem fond of them. But I don't think she'd tell anyone either...she's said multiple times that she doesn't want to die because I'm an idiot.

...That's a pretty good point! If Nanami-chan doesn't side with us, she really will wake up super early...and she'll think it's dying.

If that's the case... Edea might have a point. If she just doesn't want to die, then what Edea says is true. Now she will, unless she cooperates.

What do you think, Mabel? Do you think if you told her you had been converted and none of our identities, would she protect herself?

[Mabel gives this some thought, pursing her lips and rubbing at her forehead a little.]

If Nanami-chan went along with it, she should give the key to Edea-chan! If what happened to Yuya-chan wasn't what happens when the key goes off, it's safer to have someone the detective might've found out test it, right?

Mm. For better or worse, it seems that Edea will be the first to wake up... And even if it doesn't work, hopefully Nanami will want to protect her own life.

I'm not so sure... We've all supposedly been kidnapped and brought here from different places. It's not so much of a stretch to believe that this isn't all what it seems to be - the situation is already mad.

Dying in a dream always means you wake up.
