There's no way to mark the passage of time after lights out, but it isn't long before the lightbulb in your bedroom flickers back to life, and your door unlocks. Make your way into the park; the door will unlock for you, and the path you need to take lights up with a dim red glow. When you reach the foot of the treehouse, a ladder has been dropped for you. Climb up and come inside. The interior of the treehouse has been made comfortable for you. There's an old map of the park on the wall, as well as the mounted and stuffed heads of cartoon animal costumes on the wall. The decor seems like something of a parody of an upscale hunting lodge, and you're welcome to sit by the fire and enjoy snacks from back home, or relax in one of the outdoor hammocks. Enjoy yourself as you decide who to kill. [ Ibuki accepts the cookie, smiling - for the first time since they got up to the treehouse. Still standing as usual, she just leans against Ciel's chair, taking a bite of the cookie. ]

Ummm, Ibuki also would prefer not to. Peko-chan will defend Ibuki until and unless Ibuki is caught! Ibuki's pretty sure...they might start checking Ibuki's class soon. If that happens, Ibuki's gone gone gone!

I think you're right about that. Gundam is known as innocent, I would say, and Peko... I don't know if she may have been investigated already, but it's possible. So when it's your turn, it'll be obvious, I suppose.

Truly. They're all so focused on the VIPs as if we're some kind of incredible danger, but we're merely the more obvious one. I would push for them to focus on the other party, but I'm reluctant to say much of anything during trials.

It's not so hard, actually. I thought I might have more trouble with it, but pretending to be righteously outraged isn't hard when they're all imbeciles.

I was exaggerating, but no, for the most part, that was genuine. I hate injustice. There are excuses I am willing to make in this setting, but what we came to today did not feel right at all.

Ibuki...agrees. Hajime-chan wouldn't have liked that at alllllllll. Ibuki didn't like it, either, but we had to go with it, right? ...Even if that's an excuse, too, we need as many of them to be safe as fast as possible.

We did, but I felt there were better ways to have reached a conclusion. It was argued to be logical, but... It wasn't. K and Gundam were simply so opposed to a conversion that they were willing to sacrifice innocents.

[ He shakes his head with a serious expression. ]

Their fear of conversion was understandable. But executing two people, one of which they knew was innocent, and with such weak proof against the other? I truly hope they reflect upon their actions.

Gundam-chan will. Ibuki doesn't know about K-chan. But...even so, Gundam-chan doesn't want to vote for no one, ever.

A lot of other people did, though. Ibuki can't, because she promised to vote, but...if they agree to no-vote again, everyone could get another helping hand.

And if we get another chance, we'll definitely take Missile this time, if we haven't already. I understand their reluctance to not vote at all when they think the stakes are much higher than they actually are, but it's a bit frustrating all the same.

Wake him up, you mean? If Missile-chan is converted, it'd be way too obvious, Ibuki thinks! Probably, that role would disappear from the list, y'know? Starfire-chan might be a good choice...after all, people think she's probably innocent, and she's a singleton.

That's not a bad idea, though. She would be unlikely to be investigated as well, since she proclaimed her innocence in such a way today.

If she ever would, I think this would do it. It shows just how willing to kill for their own lives people are. Nanami doesn't know the truth, so it has to be terrifying to her especially.
