the bunker You're prepared to die - perhaps you're about to get killed at night, watching your killers' eyes grow gradually more and more unfocused, or perhaps you're snatched out of your car after the vote. But you don't. Instead, the world starts spinning and then everything goes black. You come to standing upright in a decontamination shower. Step out of the shower, and you'll find a towel and a set of folded clothes. Outside the shower room is a hallway of numbered doors, each which is heavy and may only be opened by turning a wheel, and each containing a simple cot, sink, and toilet. Instead one of these doors, you'll find a box containing some of your personal items. Besides the many doors to rooms, the building you're in has a large storage area stocked with canned and dried food and more bottled water. There's only a single, tiny stove to cook on, but there is a large amount of gasoline stockpiled for it. There are no windows here, and it's dark, only dimly lit by sparse electric lighting. At the end of the hall is a control room, with comfortable chairs to sit in and a screen from which the park can be monitored. There is actually, in a chest left behind in this room, some expensive vodka and snacks. You can watch what is happening back in the park. Two Truths One Lie

[So, ton of new arrivals. That's pretty insane in its own right, and after they've spent the beginning of the night discussing serious matters, Yuya thought it was high time for another pick-me-up in the form of a graveyard game. Looks like he's on his ball again, calling out to the entire bunker again.]

The fun has just begun!

Gather round everyone, and let's play a game called Two Truths and One Lie! In this game, someone has to say two true things about themselves that no one in the room knows, and then cleverly slip in a lie as well... from there, it's the rest of our job to pick out which one is the lie!

Now the way this will work is, we'll all vote for which statement we think is the lie. Every time you correctly guess the lie, you get one point! Likewise, whoever posed the statements gets two points for every person they managed to fool... the winner is whoever has the most points at the end!

[looking a bit proud, he pulls out a bag of little candies from the snack box. Incentive for winning? Maybe.]

I even found something to use as a point counter. Try not to eat your high score before you finish the game... I assure you these are 100% tastier than the ones from the last game.

[He doesn't really sound critical, though. It's cool, he doesn't care. But someone will have to convince him to play.]

[Coming to live and well would have been nice, but Kaoru doesn't quite have the well part down. He lingers in the dressing room just outside the shower to examine the bandages around his chest—he can't quite bring himself to actually look beneath them. Everything hurts enough for him to manage a guess as to what's there.

He only leaves the room and makes his way to the control room once he's sure his clothes cover the bandages entirely, and when he enters the room and finds . . . everyone, he actually takes a shaky step back. This is all too much—was it all some sick joke?]

What— What the hell is this?!

[Well, shit. They're all waiting around a little nervously to see who will join them next, but Kyouya is currently grumping around the general area. He hadn't expected to care who showed up next. Even with everything else, and Edea's insistence it wasn't possible, he'd somehow expected that Tamaki would have listened to him on this one single topic. Or at least listened for even a single night.

He's furiously angry all over again, but he keeps it to himself this time. Better to pretend he has his shit together right now.]

Kaoru. Injured?

[He doesn't look good, but it's also more that a general welfare check would probably be pointless.]

[K takes a little longer to come join the group. After trying to get all the water off his suit (thankfully none of it went inside) he goes through the doors to take a look inside. However when the search is fruitless he walks to the control room, giving everyone a quick glance before sighing.]

From a warehouse, to an amusement park...to a bunker. I'm not starting to appreciate my habit for being kidnapped in this one week alone.

He's only been here for a couple of days, but already there's been so many "deaths".. it was only a matter of time before the VIPs won, really. They were still significantly outnumbered, but most of the singles have been picked off already, so they still had a very fair chance of winning.

And it was honestly worrying.]

[Everything about this "game" was worrying, and Dipper was trying to be mature and endure it but honestly.. it was hard. He was scared, and he hated being separated from Mabel so much. And he was tired. So, so, tired... it's not surprising in the least that he seems to be quite on edge today.

He still flashed smiles and tried talking to others throughout the day, but by the time noon came around, it was painfully obvious that he was bothered. Perhaps someone could try to calm the boy's nerves?

...or perhaps said boy fell asleep somewhere inconvenient and needs to be woken up.]

However, when Ibuki wakes up, clear-headed for the first time all day since she'd spoken to Ciel, her arms jerk against the straps, and she...does not actually give those questions any serious thought because she's stuck in a chair and she'd handed Maya those notes before the end and they'd lost and she hadn't even killed anyone or - wait?

Her memories are clearer than they have been in days, but she's strapped down, she's terrified, and Ibuki has never been calm at the best of times and there's no way a voice on an intercom is going to calm her down, especially when it's asking scary things and she has...

What happened? Wasn't she supposed to be dead - no, awake? Is she awake?

Well, whatever, you get extremely loud, panicked wordless screaming and that will continue until intercom voice manages to calm her down (SHSL lungs), if it even...can.........considering that her friends have hit and miss luck with that in the best of times, have fun with that, mysterious intercom voice.

Ibuki is apparently not using her words right now, please try again later. ]

[ After the world's worst show of cooperation ever, Ibuki runs out, still in the process of completely flipping her shit, given the debriefing obviously wasn't going to help put a stop to that.

She has absolutely no idea where she's going, but away from that room with the chair and the camera and the voice sounds like as good a plan as any. At least now she can move, even if she's jumpy, and her left hand's shoved into her pocket to grip the badge that's still there as tightly as possible, even as she tries to find a way out.

It's not clear what's going on - did she just wake up? It...should be waking up, right? But now she realizes just how stupid that prize really was - she saw them die, nothing could bring them back, even if getting off the island would be reasonable if there wasn't the question of "but I got here, so Monobear probably was involved, right?" to contend with. And all the little logical problems that fuzzed out or made her get distracted before aren't doing that, now.

She's always liked running, but Ibuki's not so much focusing on that as she is on trying to figure out how to leave wherever-she-is. Or - Edea. She can find Edea. The voice kept saying kill, like it hadn't been waking the others up, so the others might be really, truly -

It was talking like she'd killed them for real, and Ibuki doesn't want to follow that thought at all, so she latches on instead to the one she'd been focused on previously, before she'd died, before she'd kept losing her train of thought: waking up just meant going to keep Edea and the others company (if the others were even alive - no, focus on Edea). Edea was calm, and safe, and even if the odd happy outlook is gone, Ibuki still just wants to find one of the VIPs and cling to them. ]

E-edea-chan?! [ She's at least gotten a little quieter, if no less panicked. The person who's like her probably woke up like her, and right now Ibuki just really, really doesn't want to be alone and also really, really wants to get out of...here.

Anyone else can intercept her, but there will almost assuredly be screaming. ]

[That had gone just about as badly as she had feared. It was completely pointless, she knew, but halfway through the interrogation, she had found herself screaming at the disembodied voice as well - wasn't it obvious what the answers to the questions were just from Ibuki's state?! It was just another little cruelty... prolonging the torture even that much.

She knows about where she appeared following her own interrogation, and she's rushing there the moment Ibuki seems to be done.]

How dare they...!

[She runs when she sees her - as fast as she possibly can to meet her and to take her into a hug.]

Ibuki -- Ibuki, it's OK! Everyone's OK; we're all here, we're all safe...!

[Well. In a matter of speaking. But she is certain what Ibuki's greatest fear is now - the same one she had herself when she had stepped out of that room two days ago...]

A Thing

[At some point during the day, the power in the bunker abruptly flickers and goes out entirely.

It's out for about five minutes, before coming back. But the monitor in the control room doesn't immediately come back online; instead, it appears to open some kind of outdated computer command prompt.]

Legion has been very quiet in the graveyard, since for most of what's happened, it has nothing in particular to offer. When lying is a bit of a high-level function, you can't exactly play two truths and a lie, and Legion is more prone to watching the events as they unfold without resting.

However, when the screen flickers with something familiar, Legion approaches the monitor and looks at the command prompt with clear curiosity. If there's a way for it to input anything, Legion will also immediately go towards that. ]

[After waking up and getting dressed, Kurapika slowly made his way out into the bunker. He had to stay close to the wall so he could use it as support, and even then the limp was impossible to hide. He was bruised and beaten from the "ride" shortly before he blacked out, but otherwise infact.

There's bags under his eyes and his movements are sluggish, but when he spots the some of the other bunker residents he can't help but smile.]

...What a relief. You're still alive.

That's a lot better than most people took it...

[Edea will offer Kurapika a small smile as he appears.]

[Well, he's had better awakenings. He blinks wearily at the monitor in front of him, his grogginess making it hard to focus. Also, he needs a cigarette. Badly. It feels like he's had the rug pulled out under him - so, the chance at receiving that precious tool from home, that was...gone? Just a lie? Heh. Of course it was. He was stupid to believe otherwise, and yet, there's that sting of disappointment, ever so painful.]

[Finally, he speaks, his voice quiet as it always is.]

...Yes. I and my group, we...did what we thought was necessary. Even if that included the lives of others...it was wrong. Very wrong. But...we still did it, we still did it...

My feelings? [He lets out a huff, which is probably his version of a laugh.] I thought, well, it was necessary. I was going to receive what I had been working for, for so long, at the end...plus, it wasn't like I was really killing them. Not really. They were just...waking up from a bad dream. I felt like I was doing them a favor, honestly.

[And last one. Does he regret it? He thinks over that...and shrugs.] Like I said before, it was...necessary. Of course, it was harsh, possibly cruel, I know that, but...I felt that it had to be done. If I have to tell the truth, I was...selfish. I didn't want that boy's inaction to prevent me from obtaining my prize.

...It was wrong, but I will not...stand down from my decision, say I "regret it". I was working for something far greater than myself. And that is the truth, even if it now turned out to be a lie.

[Well, thank goodness that's over. If there's anything Royce hates, it's being put on the spot.]

[The annoyance shown in his debriefing is gone, replaced by his usual placid stare. He feels...numb. It's not really the fact that he's now "dead", or that he may have actually murdered people, based on what the debriefing told him...it's the fact that he lost the "prize" he was working so hard for. As if he would ever have a chance to wield that tool again...]

[He wanders, staring vacantly into space as he just tries to get over the feeling of utter disappointment stinging in his chest.]

[The hatch opens to a small room. There are about five hazmat suits in the room. On the other side of the room is a door that seems to be unlocked.]

Day seven, post... explosion...

[ WHAT'S GOING ON?!

There was that horrible beeping, and he was SURE he was going to die before he could even break the bad news to Oz!! And now he's WET!!

A symphony of frantic barking fills the halls. He's wet and confused and HE'S GOING TO BARK AT EVERYTHING UNTIL IT STARTS MAKING SENSE. ]

[The door opens to a large building with multiple floors. It appears to be an abandoned factory of some sort. Broken-down equipment and rusty machinery clutter the floor, none of which look like they've been used in a while.

The windows are grimy with dirt and dust, but you can make through them way out in the distance the silhouette of the amusement park. It looks like it's at least several miles away.]

SLEEPOVER VIGIL TIME

[Some amount of time passes between the intrepid investigators' departure and their future return... or, well, a report of their inevitable capture - whatever! The point is, Mahiru doesn't want anybody thinking about that unproductively right now. She disappears a minute or two after the final sendoff, and comes back in about ten minutes later, holding her pillowcase.]

Okay! Anyone who wants to go to bed probably should. Everyone might have to do that eventually; after all, we don't know how long this is gonna last! But I feel like it's kinda hard to sleep with something going on, and we'll probably all wanna get back up for whenever something big happens... so people with the closest bedrooms would probably be the best to get in bed now. Otherwise...

What's...going on here? Who are...? [ there's a pause as she tries to sift through her memories. Clash was the bomber, Nanami was going to detonate her, and the votes, they voted for her, she was--dead? No, clearly not. She was never going to be dead, was she? From the start, she'd never be truly dying even if she was executed. But this seemed...different from what she expected. A thought strikes her: they'd all been suspecting the VIPs were brainwashed. She'd dismissed it as a stupid notion: after all, it was just an illusion, a game. But there was a high probability it was true, now that her thoughts weren't constantly hazy, now that she didn't have any nonexistent prize to reach for. ]

She feels like she's going to vomit from what she's just experienced, both in the past day and in the past few seconds, but the confusion of the booming voice makes her pull on her restraints. Her eyes dart around to look for any source of help. ]

I— What is this?! [ She tries to pull away from being tied up and thrashes wildly. ] I didn't remember anything and of course I've never killed before! Why are you even doing this to me?

MEET MURDERMOM

[ Patchouli, despite feeling incredibly nauseous, dizzy, and unsure of her memories, is seethingly furious. Which is diminished by the fact that she is pale, shaking, and looks as though she's about to pass out. It's the intent that counts...?

She begins angrily muttering to herself: ]

How dare they...! Swindle me like some sort of lab rat...!
