night six - killers
![]() There's no way to mark the passage of time after lights out, but it isn't long before the lightbulb in your bedroom flickers back to life, and your door unlocks. Make your way into the park; the door will unlock for you, and the path you need to take lights up with a dim red glow. When you reach the foot of the treehouse, a ladder has been dropped for you. Climb up and come inside. The interior of the treehouse has been made comfortable for you. There's an old map of the park on the wall, as well as the mounted and stuffed heads of cartoon animal costumes on the wall. The decor seems like something of a parody of an upscale hunting lodge, and you're welcome to sit by the fire and enjoy snacks from back home, or relax in one of the outdoor hammocks. Enjoy yourself as you decide who to kill. After all, you're in on a little secret - none of this is real, and it's all part of a fun little game from which everyone, winners and losers alike, will wake up. rulebook profiles All night votes will be due October 7 by 6 PM EST. |

I have some information to bring forth, before we get to discussing our business for the night. Miss Pekoyama pulled me aside today in confidence, since she had a few theories that she wished to discuss wit me about the VIPs. I would say with no lack of confidence that she doesn't suspect me, however, what we had discussed before has come to pass.
Using simply logic with how we've been targeting those to wake up, she managed to figure out the connections between them, which is honestly not so dangerous in itself. But with how her class has narrowed down considerably as well as Tamaki's, she believes quite strongly that you're a VIP, Tamaki. Her remarks during the trial today likely reflect as such. I tried to get her to talk about the buddy cops, but she doesn't seem to know who they are, at least, but she'll surely offer you up if no one else is found tomorrow, Tamaki. Her reasoning is quite sound, so I would say be prepared.
The basis for this reasoning is largely because she's able to narrow your class down further... Honey is her partner, leaving only you and— Mori, was it? She believes that the two of them share a bond like the one she shares with Kuzuryuu, and would not be dishonest to each other, and by extension, to herself, since Honey's life is tied to her own. She had some other reasons, though ultimately, they were wrong, since they were based on a misunderstanding of how conversions work.
This said, I do not believe we should target her. It would look too suspicious after sharing all of this with me, and besides that? I do not believe she has a role. She was... too open and trusting, honestly.

[ thinking about why ciel says it would be too suspicious to target her, hmm ]

[ He sits back in his chair ]
But she's a shrewd woman. She figured out the logic of our kills as well as why both Ibuki and Tamaki were almost certainly VIPs independently of the confirmation today. I wouldn't count on her not showing the same amount of care in the face of revealing something so sensitive. She trusts me, but there's also a limit to that.

Then I suppose the question is...who do we target tonight? One of the buddy cops is someone with a cellphone, correct? We could certainly play the elimination game again, but we can't risk losing another one of our numbers, even with the mystery bomber on the loose.

[ He looks over to Tamaki's poster ]
With the changes today, I think our viable targets would be Aya, Belgium, Clash, Kenny, Kurapika, Maya, Oz, Sheba, and Sigma? At least, these are those that we don't already know the pairs. Considering only one single remains, I think Ibuki's suggestion may be as good as any. She suggested Belgium or Sigma.

[ she's quiet for a moment, mulling over the two options ] Are we shuffling between the two of them, then? I've never spoken to Belgium, but Sigma seems likely, at least in terms of the cellphone theory. Apparently he's from the 2040s. [ TECHNOLOGY MARCHES ON ]

"Appearances can be deceiving." She said that to Tamaki during the trial today, I should note.

[ He shrugs ]
For now, she's relatively harmless. The only harm will befall to me, should I be revealed, since she's unlikely to wait for the trial to want my head.
no subject
I agree. We shouldn't take her out. We need to try and get the buddy cops.

[ He shrugs ]
Ibuki had suggested Sigma and Belgium, and I think these are both as good of guesses as any. I think at this point, our other pairs are taking the strategy of laying low.

Belgium and Sigma would be my bets too. They're pretty quiet, aren't they?
no subject
Well, they're likely to be investigated tonight, I would think, but that will only mean they'll turn up innocent and we'll be left with a situation like yesterday. However, this accusation isn't baseless. It can be argued, certainly, but it's logical and well thought out. She did not bring it to me lightly.
[ He sighs and sits back ]
Belgium or Sigma... I scarcely have anything to pick between the two of them, however. Neither particularly stands out.

She is. [ He hums thoughtfully, then adds, ] Who else was investigating? Was there anyone? Or anyone she even made reference to, perhaps?

I expected as much, but still... She's a shrewd person, and I believe her confidence in me was largely because I bear a resemblance to Fuyuhiko. I... assume in personality as well, though I did not know him.
