night two - kill log
Who: Killers and Kuzuryuu
What: It's a murder jam!!
When: The second night
Where: The park...
[It's in the dead of the night when Kuzuryuu's door abruptly unlocks. His bracelet begins to beep. Something seems to be calling him, ordering him to leave his room. For every moment he delays, it beeps with more and more urgency, especially if he tries to bring anything. And besides, he feels groggy, not inclined to protest much.
As he steps outside, lights illuminate his path. The lights lead into the park. As soon as he steps through the door into the park, the door slams shut behind him. It won't open for him again, and pounding on the door or calling for help will not yield any results. It's only once inside that the grogginess wears off.
He can run or try to hide, but there's not much use to it. His bracelet is still beeping, the only obvious sound in the darkness. And though he's not restrained, he'll find there's no way he can strike a blow against the killers; the bracelet will tighten and he'll feel the grogginess return if he tries to fight back.]

you are, it you. shine on you little mafia star, you.
[Even so, his life flashes before his eye and he can't help but wonder if this is how Koizumi must have felt as he just barely manages to dodge Ibuki's swing. He can feel the air rush past his head and he's pretty sure he stopped breathing entirely for a minute there. God, they really were smart to send two, there's no way the kid with one eye can watch them both at the same time. Though, then again, even somebody with two eyes would probably have trouble with that. He stumbles away from the pair, clearly off balance and trying his best to avoid falling flat on his ass. At least this little maneuver got him to shut the hell up though, let's all be glad of that much.]

[ FIX IT. For some reason Ibuki seems to completely trust Ciel, though she can't have known him for more than two days, now. And yet...she clearly expects him to back her up, like he'd promised he would do, and like she'd do for him.
Although Ibuki's going to give chase here, still swinging the guitar. GOD, IT'S LIKE KUZURYUU DOESN'T WANT TO DIE???? How can this be. ]

The bullets pierce through Kuzuryuu's left leg, then Ciel follows behind Ibuki at a safe distance, since he doesn't want to get caught in the crazy guitar swinging either. ]
That should do. If more are needed, I have a few more bullets.

Ngk--!!
[Pain radiates from Kuzuryuu's leg and he drops to his right knee, clutching the wounds and cursing under his breath. But he doesn't stay there long, knowing that Ibuki is most definitely coming for him with that guitar again. He's up on his feet again in a matter of moments, though it's obvious that even that much is taking its toll. His left leg is visibly shaking, and he's gritting his teeth so hard it's a wonder he hasn't chipped one of them. In all likelihood, he's not going to be able to move very far. He's got one, maybe two more dodges in him, depending on how erratic Ibuki's swings are. So this is little more than sheer stubbornness on his part and that stupidly high pain tolerance of his at work. His talent may not be as cool as some of the others, but it does have its perks now and then. So Ciel's probably not going to need to shoot him a third time unless he just really gets the itch.]
Mioda, s-stop! [His volume is back down to a more reasonable level again, authoritative and firm despite the waver that's clearly from the pain in his leg. It's more like it was earlier that evening, back when he told her to calm down after Levi's confession. If yelling at her didn't work, maybe hiking up the leader pants will. That's his hope, anyway. Because he's kind of running out of options here.] Listen to me! Don't...don't do this. I said we'd f-figure something out if it came to this...didn't I?!
[For the record: this was not what he had in mind.]

It's probably more terrifying than a mad smile would be, because it's out of place with what she's doing, honestly trying to kill him. Figure something out...that's right, he'd said something like that. Hadn't he? Well, it's hard to remember with everything going on, but whatever. ]
That's why! That's it! We're friends, right?! So, Ibuki's doing this for you!
[ And she doesn't want Ciel to have to do this, when it's her responsibility. So, now that he can't quite get away...the swings aren't totally erratic. She should make contact this time, and Ibuki will keep hitting, aiming for Kuzuryuu's head, until she's certain he's dead. It doesn't really matter what else he has to say; it's not going to change a single thing.
This is probably going to totally ruin the guitar, though. ]

[Too bad he's not going to get the chance to tell everyone else. This game is just funny like that.]
You... th-that doesn't... Wh-- [Exactly what Kuzuryuu was going to say next, nobody will ever know. Apparently Ibuki's confession was enough to drop his probable dodge count down to zero. He stands rooted to the spot, unable to move or properly articulate anything due to the sheer nonsensicality of what he's hearing and seeing. It would be so much better if he could just write Ibuki off as having gone off the deep end, like maybe they'd somehow managed to infect her with the Despair Disease or something. But that clearly isn't the case. Whatever this is, it's completely different, and about a hundred times more horrifying.]
[Kuzuryuu's last thought as the guitar makes contact with a loud, wet, cracking sound, is of a certain silver-haired someone who is going to be very upset come tomorrow morning. He doesn't get the chance to say it out loud, but the words "I'm sorry" definitely come to mind along with the mental image of one Peko Pekoyama. Not that it matters. She wouldn't have been able to hear him anyway. It's not just her he owes that apology to though. It's all four of his classmates. Because he's definitely not going to be able to do anything to get the four of them out in this state, something he'd promised himself from the moment the rules went up. Somehow, it's almost worse that he's breaking a promise he never even vocalized to the people it was about.]
[Ibuki's free to hit him as many times as he wants/can before he inevitably falls to the ground, but it won't matter. One hit was enough to snuff the light out of his eye permanently.]

There will be more to come, so he has to do what's necessary.
Ciel releases the breath he had forgotten he was holding with an exhale, then approaches Ibuki once it's quite certain that he's dead. He just keeps his gun in one hand, but then reaches up to touch Ibuki's shoulder with the other. His eyes are pointedly not on Kuzuryuu. ]
What messy business. Let's return, Ibuki.

It's not even the first time she's seen anyone die. But as far as Ibuki remembers, it's the first time she's done it with her own hands - though she cast her vote the first night, as well as this one.
After a split second of confusion, though, Ibuki focuses on Ciel's hand on her shoulder, eyes shifting from her classmate's body to the hand, then Ciel's face. She manages a smile again, happy to have it done with. ]
Right right right! We have to go report back. ...Thanks, Ciel-chan. Ibuki didn't really wanna do it alone. [ There's little point in saying anything else, though, so she'll start to head back towards the other figures in the distance, keeping pace with Ciel when he starts to move. ]
