night three - kill log
Who: Killers, Dipper, and Mahiru
What: "dipper and mabel would win any twinoff murder game just by virtue of not having one crazy twin and one sane twin." - aki
When: The third night
Where: The park...
[It's in the dead of the night when Dipper's door abruptly unlocks. His bracelet begins to beep. Something seems to be calling him, ordering him to leave his room. For every moment he delays, it beeps with more and more urgency, especially if he tries to bring anything. And besides, he feels groggy, not inclined to protest much. Shortly after, Mahiru's door also unlocks, and she's led to the park behind him.
As he steps outside, lights illuminate the path. The lights lead into the park. As soon as either one steps through the door into the park, the door slams shut. It won't open for again, and pounding on the door or calling for help will not yield any results. It's only once inside that the grogginess wears off.
You can run or try to hide, but there's not much use to it. Your bracelet is still beeping, the only obvious sound in the darkness. And though you're not restrained, you'll find there's no way you can strike a blow against the killers; the bracelet will tighten and you'll feel the grogginess return if you try to fight back.]

no subject
So, after a moment's pause, she nods.]
O-okay.
[She's not sure how far away is "a little distance" but she goes far enough away that she can't see either of them, putting her hands over her ears...]
no subject
[ He says it gently, more gently than Ciel tends to speak, then waits until she's far enough away that Ciel is sure she won't see what happens. The sound will be a bit harder to block out, but he knows firsthand that it's seeing it that's the real problem.
He's standing a good distance away, because this is supposed to look like it could be Legion's work. Ciel is no sniper (far from it), but he's hoping that the only person that would be able to tell that this isn't a sniper's shot was Legion itself, whose word couldn't be trusted. Ciel just hunts for sport, as an English nobleman is expected to do. It's different, but with Sebastian's strict training? It's enough.
Ciel levels the shotgun easily, practiced and perfect, and though he's looking at Dipper's head as he aims, he tries to imagine something different. It's not a person. It's just game that he's hunting, as he's done many times before. He murmurs it under his breath, then pulls the trigger, and the shot hits perfectly where it's supposed to, with the recoil controlled well, despite Ciel's small, unassuming frame. He averts his eyes quickly, since there's something about knowing that this was someone's brother, a twin that—
He cuts the thought off quickly as he pulls the lever of the shotgun to pop out the shell, which he collects after a moment for it to cool. Ciel had watched Mabel leave, so it's easy to find her. He holds his shotgun in one hand, but then after a moment's hesitation, he offers his other hand for Mabel to take. ]
I'll walk you back. [ Which is all he says, at least to start ]
