night four - kill log
Who: Killers and Kyouya
What: kiss kiss fall off the ferris wheel
When: The fourth night
Where: The park...
[It's in the dead of the night when Kyouya's door abruptly unlocks. His bracelet begins to beep. Something seems to be calling him, ordering him to leave his room. For every moment he delays, it beeps with more and more urgency, especially if he tries to bring anything. And besides, he feels groggy, not inclined to protest much.
As he steps outside, lights illuminate his path. The lights lead into the park. As soon as he steps through the door into the park, the door slams shut behind him. It won't open for him again, and pounding on the door or calling for help will not yield any results. It's only once inside that the grogginess wears off.
He can run or try to hide, but there's not much use to it. His bracelet is still beeping, the only obvious sound in the darkness. And though he's not restrained, he'll find there's no way he can strike a blow against the killers; the bracelet will tighten and he'll feel the grogginess return if he tries to fight back.]

[He can tell there's a problem here, but he keeps his tone calm and measured.]
So there's nothing to gain from killing me right now.

[Says a frail, weak voice from a few feet away - Royce steps out, hands folded behind him, gazing at Kyouya with a severe, piercing intensity that paradoxically goes against the way he sounds.]
We don't have...time for this talking, this chatting...Tamaki. You know, youuuu...understand what we have to do. [He grasps Kyouya's forearm, his grip tight, looking over at Tamaki.]
...It's time.
no subject
[And grabbed. His expression sort of goes blank. He really miscalculated this. Of course, even if he can somehow talk sense into Tamaki, that wouldn't change his situation. The others will definitely kill him anyway.
He still looks to Tamaki as though expecting some kind of protest, but. He already knows he's lost.]
no subject
I mean, he's not running or fighting, so it's okay, isn't it? To talk a little...
[Tamaki's protest is weak at best. He brings a hand up to his head, but he doesn't seem pained; just confused and spacey, like something in there just isn't quite clicking.]
no subject
[He just shakes his head, gesturing to the ferris wheel. He...doesn't like this. They have a job to do. The thing Royce wants, the thing he needs...he will get it if he plays along in this role, and he's not going to let the others ruin his chances of doing just that.]
...There is no point in talking. We need to...do what we discussed. Nothing more.
no subject
[It's not going to change anything. Of course, he could be kind and take the decision out of Tamaki's hands, but this time he can't bring himself to simply absolve Tamaki of responsibility. It probably isn't his fault, but he's still going to die over it.]
Agree to let me go or kill me. Just do whatever you want.
no subject
[Welp. The reluctance is clear, but so is exactly what he wants to do.]
no subject
You don't get to do this and demand forgiveness for it. Tch. I should have known. I'm sure the moment they handed out these roles and you found out you got to play hero for everyone you were practically fucking salivating.
[He means it to sound cruel, but it comes out more exhausted.]
Anyway. Shall we?
no subject
...Yeah. I guess so.
[He's not moving, though.]
no subject
[Royce watches this all impassively, before pulling on Kyouya's arm to follow him towards the ferris wheel. Friendships, relationships...very fascinating, really, but he can dwell on things like that at leisure later.]
Come along, Tamaki.
no subject
Must you? I don't have any intention of trying to escape.
But yes, come, Tamaki.
no subject
[Tamaki comes along, staring at his feet the whole way.]
no subject
...I'm guessing you'll do it.
no subject

[He takes his place on the seat.]
no subject
...Listen to me.
If I actually do wake up and this nonsense is actually real, I couldn't say how I'll feel about it. But. I promise you that if you allow them to kill any of the others, I really will never forgive you. Live out your pathetic fantasies, but don't kill any of them.
Understand?
no subject
I understand.
no subject
That means you'd better start voting, you fucking hypocrite. Now, I don't know how you intend to do this, and I don't really care whether it's you or your friend, but you should see that it's done soon.
no subject
[It's not quite a joke, and he hasn't mustered up the will to do so much as look Kyouya in the eye.]
I thought it would be best if you... fell. From the top of the wheel. That it would be quick and relatively painless.
no subject
...You're not remotely prepared to do something like this. Why don't you just get him to do it?
no subject
no subject
[Cutting himself off. And pulling off his glasses and tucking them in his pocket. After all, they're high enough by this point.]
Do it, then. Now.
no subject
[And here it becomes painfully evident that he had not thought the logistics of his grand plan until this very moment.]
...Could you stand up, please?
no subject
Though if he says no, he'll have to go through another awkward ferris wheel ride. Fine. He stands up, opens the entry door, and leans over the edge, looking out over the park.
He has his back facing Tamaki, so it shouldn't be so hard, though his hands are clenching down on the rim of the car before he realizes and lets go. He's grit his teeth tightly, he's drawing sharp breaths, clearly a person aware that he's about to be killed. But even so, and even with the evident damage caused by whatever was done to Tamaki's head, he still thinks he probably won't really do it. He may not stop Royce, but he definitely won't really do it.]
no subject
Still, it's not a push that comes from behind, but a hug and a sob.]
I'm so sorry, Kyouya. I'm so... so...
