night five - killers
![]() There's no way to mark the passage of time after lights out, but it isn't long before the lightbulb in your bedroom flickers back to life, and your door unlocks. Make your way into the park; the door will unlock for you, and the path you need to take lights up with a dim red glow. When you reach the foot of the treehouse, a ladder has been dropped for you. Climb up and come inside. The interior of the treehouse has been made comfortable for you. There's an old map of the park on the wall, as well as the mounted and stuffed heads of cartoon animal costumes on the wall. The decor seems like something of a parody of an upscale hunting lodge, and you're welcome to sit by the fire and enjoy snacks from back home, or relax in one of the outdoor hammocks. Enjoy yourself as you decide who to kill. After all, you're in on a little secret - none of this is real, and it's all part of a fun little game from which everyone, winners and losers alike, will wake up. rulebook profiles All night votes will be due October 4 by 7 PM EST. |

[ Without. Even trying. Ibuki looks a little upset, too, mostly because Gundam made a target of himself, there...
But also, they killed a pair out of desperation. ]
The...faster we save them, the less it'll hurt everyone later on, after this, right?
no subject
Yes, and for that, we can thank him. But still... That "pinch" feels like too much to me. Accusing people randomly, then telling them that you hardly care with evidence presented? That's too far, in my opinion. And how everyone went along with it without question... That was upsetting, in truth.
[ Ciel sits back in his chair, much calmer by now ]
I agree with your assessment, in any case. K and Kaoru are at least a pair, so we'll strike down half the list, then tomorrow, we can strike Sigma or Belgium unless we need to pursue someone else. We can at least count on Gundam to recant his stances if pushed, it seems.

[ She can't go back on that without being suspicious. ]
Though Ibuki thinks Ciel-chan is underestimating Gundam-chan's stubbornness!
no subject
[ He shakes his head with a frown ]
Then would you suggest him? I would rather not target your classmates for a while, since we had been so aggressive at first that you and Peko staying alive would be somewhat suspicious.
no subject
[ CAN WE NOT KILL HER CLASSMATES FOR A WHILE. ]
If...they keep doing this, at least we'll have the numbers we need sooner rather than later, right?
[ Ibuki sounds oddly unsure. ]
no subject
So it would seem... I can't believe it's happening this way. I honestly didn't anticipate that we would resort to a mob mentality so, er, soon.
no subject
[ Like killing at all... ]

[ He sighs, then offers her a cookie, since he's sitting next to them and is feeling nice. ]
I would prefer not to strike any of your classmates, though. I don't like Gundam because of how he helps the dog, but... He's not quite as bad. And Peko is good for me to have now, since I can simply ask for her votes and mask my alliance that way.
no subject
Ummm, Ibuki also would prefer not to. Peko-chan will defend Ibuki until and unless Ibuki is caught! Ibuki's pretty sure...they might start checking Ibuki's class soon. If that happens, Ibuki's gone gone gone!
no subject
I think you're right about that. Gundam is known as innocent, I would say, and Peko... I don't know if she may have been investigated already, but it's possible. So when it's your turn, it'll be obvious, I suppose.
[ a sigh ]
Let's hope we can take out the detective and cops before that happens.

[ All they can do is their best. No one member of the team is any more important than the others; if she goes out, she won't take any of them down with her... ]
And Ciel-chan and the others know who Ibuki suspects!
no subject
Right. You'll just be going a bit before the rest of us, so it will be fine, really. And you truly have done your best, so we will at least be with good information.
no subject
[ It isn't as though she would be alone...THOUGH SHE HAS TO GET MARRIED TOMORROW MORNING, AND CIEL IS OFFICIATING. MAYBE. ]
We're doing pretty well, right? We're...almost to the halfway mark, right?!
no subject
Yes, it would seem so. If our days continue to go like this, we'll succeed in no time at all.
[ His expression softens and Ciel shakes his head ]
I hope they don't, however. Today was particularly frustrating.
no subject
Ibuki wouldn't want to win like this either, but...rather than how we win, just that we do is more important...before that question mark guy takes out a bunch of people.
no subject
which is to say, before you ask, I don't know how this happens to aki and I's characters, I really don't ]
Truly. They're all so focused on the VIPs as if we're some kind of incredible danger, but we're merely the more obvious one. I would push for them to focus on the other party, but I'm reluctant to say much of anything during trials.
no subject
ibuki just dibbsed him ok for stupid reasons ]
Well...they'll understand what they misunderstood later, at least!! For now, we just have to bear with it.
no subject
It's not so hard, actually. I thought I might have more trouble with it, but pretending to be righteously outraged isn't hard when they're all imbeciles.
no subject
Ehehehe! Ciel-chan wasn't really pretending about that, though, right?!
no subject
I was exaggerating, but no, for the most part, that was genuine. I hate injustice. There are excuses I am willing to make in this setting, but what we came to today did not feel right at all.
no subject
[ But the bodies always make her feel sick, even if they're not real. ]
no subject
[ He shakes his head with a serious expression. ]
Their fear of conversion was understandable. But executing two people, one of which they knew was innocent, and with such weak proof against the other? I truly hope they reflect upon their actions.
no subject
[ Because...well. ]
A lot of other people did, though. Ibuki can't, because she promised to vote, but...if they agree to no-vote again, everyone could get another helping hand.

[ He glances to the side with a soft laugh. ]
If she ever would, I think this would do it. It shows just how willing to kill for their own lives people are. Nanami doesn't know the truth, so it has to be terrifying to her especially.
